2020 Auditions

All levels of Drama and the Fall Play are open to all grade levels, and placement is dependent upon teacher recommendation and/or audition.  See below for the requirements and instructions for auditions.

Creative Drama - Open Enrollment for All Grade levels.  No audition or teacher recommendation needed.

Intermediate Drama - Students who have completed Creative Drama and have the teacher's recommendation may move up to Intermediate Drama.

Students who have not completed Creative Drama must audition.  For fall of 2020, auditions will need to be videos submitted via the Audition Registration Form linked above.  To audition for Intermediate Drama, perform one (1) monologue from any source (theatre, film, television), 1:00 - 2:00 minutes in length.

Advanced Drama - All students must audition. For fall of 2020, auditions will need to be videos submitted via the Audition Registration Form linked above. To audition for Advanced Drama, perform two (2) monologues from any source (theatre, film, television), 1:00 - 2:00 minutes in length, each.  The two monologues should be contrasting in style, preferably one classical (pre-1900, i.e. Shakespeare or Wilde) and one contemporary; one comedic and one dramatic.

Fall Play - "Ghost Stories"
This original comedy was written for Irvine High School in 2015 and was a huge hit when it premiered!  If you're interested in being cast in next year's production, submit one monologue, 1:00 to 2:00 minutes in length, and preferably a contemporary comedic style.  Additional auditions and call backs will be held at the beginning of the school year and the cast will be announced in early September.  Rehearsals will be held after school, some afternoons and some evenings.  Performance dates are TBD.
